Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting multiple Sterile Processing Technicians to support the VA Healthcare System (HCS) in Reno, NV. Coverage is includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Shifts include:

  • Day shift: 0730-1600
  • Evening shift: 1530-0000
  • Night shift: 2330-0800
  • 12-hour day shift: 0730-2000
  • 12-hour night shift: 1930-0800

Responsible for ensuring that laboratory and healthcare equipment is cleaned and sterilized properly, as well perform customer service. Sterile Processing Technicians maintain extensive knowledge regarding processes used in the decontamination, inspection, cleaning, assemblingl, and packaging of medical/surgical material according to established standards and procedures to ensure a sterile and functioning supply of materials. Job duties of a Sterile Processing Technician include:

  • Perform manual cleaning prior to sterilization
  • Placing cleaned instruments in sterilizers such as autoclaves, and starting and monitoring autoclaves
  • Preparing trays for designated areas according to prescribed procedures
  • Wrapping and/or packaging items for specified areas according to procedures prescribed for designated areas
  • Operating instrument tracking systems
  • Working with hospital and laboratory personnel to ensure specialty trays are handled in the prescribed manner
  • Dissembling, cleaning, assembling and testing specialty instrumentation and equipment for proper functionality
  • Differentiating between single-use and reusable items
  • Maintaining inventory of supplies and materials to include documenting usage, issuing, receiving and reordering as assigned
  • Adhering to all company and worksite rules, policies, and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned


  • A minimum of six (6) months of Sterile Processing Technician experience
  • Experience with all types of sterilizers
  • Current certification from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
