Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting multiple Registered Nurses (RN) to support the VA Healthcare System (HCS) in Reno, NV. Coverage is includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Available departments include Med/Surg, Geriatric, and Psychiatric. Shifts include:

  • Day shift: 0730-1600
  • Evening shift: 1530-0000
  • Night shift: 2330-0800
  • 12-hour day shift: 0730-2000
  • 12-hour night shift: 1930-0800

  • Utilizes the nursing process and an interdisciplinary approach to provide direct, continuous, comprehensive patient care
  • Performs nursing functions related to physician prescribed treatments
  • Assists patient with activities of daily living
  • Administers medications and IV therapies in compliance with local facility policies
  • Obtains patient history and pertinent family histories
  • Assesses patients and plans appropriate nursing care
  • Documents plan of care and care provided in patient’s medical record
  • Verifies transcriptions of physician’s orders, no verbal orders are to be accepted
  • Carries out prescribed physician orders and documents in patient’s medical record
  • Communicates pertinent patient data to charge nurse and/or physician as appropriate
  • Reassesses patient’s condition and revises plan of care based on identified nursing problems
  • Assesses and documents patient’s response to medications and treatments administered
  • Recognizes and initiates appropriate measures in emergencies and assists with surgical/diagnostic procedures
  • Instructs patient/family regarding prescribed medications/therapies and surgical/diagnostic procedures
  • Assesses patient/family knowledge level, implements plan of instructions, and records patient/family demonstrated level of understanding
  • Cares for patients with a variety of catheters and prostheses
  • Participates in discharge planning
  • Able to initiate lifesaving measures in the absence of a physician
  • Maintains a neat and clean personal appearance with professional decorum
  • Consistently applies VA customer service standards, demonstrating helpful, courteous, and respectful conduct at all times
  • Respects patient rights, including but not limited to visual and auditory privacy


  • Graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing program
  • RN licensure in Nevada or any other U.S. state or territory
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in an applicable RN role in an acute care facility
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required for Med/Surg RN personnel
  • Shall possess current ProAct or equivalent Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) training and certification if working in the Acute Locked Psychiatry unit
