    Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking a Pain Management Anesthesiologist for service in support of the New Mexico VA Health Care System (NMVAHCS) Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center located at 1501 San Pedro Dr. SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. Highly competitive full-time and Locum Tenens packages with signing bonuses are available. The role will be contracted for up to one (1) year with the possibility of option periods. The work schedule is Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm. On call service is required on occasion.

    Responsibilities

    The Anesthesia Service is a collegial department consisting of Anesthesiologists and CRNAs, with Anesthesia Residents, Pain Fellows, medical students, and SRNAs that rotate through the department. Pain Physicians provide interventional pain services in the Anesthesia Pain Clinic. Experience is needed in performing interventional pain procedures using Fluoroscopic and Ultrasound guidance. Interest in operative pain management procedures and an Interventional Pain Management fellowship is preferred for the applicant applying for this position.


    The NMVAHCS has an academic affiliation with the University of New Mexico. This position has the possibility of obtaining a clinical appointment at the University of New Mexico. The position allows time for academic study and responsibilities. For candidates also wanting to do operating room anesthesia, Anesthesiologists working in the operating room mainly provide CRNA/resident supervision with some opportunity to perform your own cases. The anesthesia performed here is cooperative and friendly, and the mission is to provide world class anesthetic care to our nation's Veterans. There is no OB, trauma, or pediatrics, but otherwise we offer a variety of interesting and challenging cases.

    Qualifications

    • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
    • Board certification by the American Board of Anesthesiology
    • Pain Medicine Fellowship completed
    • Pain Board Certification
    • Fluoroscopic/Ultrasound guided full range of interventional pain procedure experience
    • Expertise in the evaluation and management of neurological and musculoskeletal conditions and other pain syndromes
    • Expertise in physical diagnostics, spine, peripheral joint injections, spinal cord stimulators, and pain pumps
    • Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration license
    • American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
