    Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking Shippers/Packers for service at the VA Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) facility located at 5th and Roosevelt, Building 37 NW Dock, Hines, IL 60141 (Great Lakes). CMOP Shippers/Packers are an essential role that directly support the health and well-being of our Nation's Veterans. Full-time (Monday-Friday) first shift (6:30am-3:00pm) and second shift (3:30pm-12:00am) positions with excellent pay and benefits are available.

    Shippers/Packers shall prepare finished products for shipment or storage by placing them in shipping containers, the specific operation performed in accordance with CMOP packing standard operating procedures, being dependent upon the type, size, and number of units to be packed, the type of container employed, and method of shipment. Work requires the placing of items in shipping containers and may involve one or more of the following:


    • Knowledge of various items of stock in order to verify content
    • Selection of appropriate type and size of container
    • Inserting enclosures in container
    • Using excelsior or other material to prevent breakage or damage
    • Closing and sealing container
    • Applying labels or entering identifying data on container
    • Operates various types of packaging equipment
    • Must be able to read computer screens and use scanning equipment
    • Must be able to respond to alarms and alerts
    • Maintain work area in clean and orderly manner


    Shipper/Packer Leads may be chosen for this location. In addition to functions listed above, may also be required to:


    • Train new shipper/packers on Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in place at local CMOP locations
    • Enforce adherence to facility SOPs and policies with contract staff
    • Have supervisory responsibilities over contract shipper/packers in their functional area
    • Act as liaison between contracted staff and facility administrator
    • Act as liaison to Government personnel in regards to production issues or topics
    • Assist staff in resetting locked stations after errors occur, verifying errors are resolved before returning station to shipper/packer
    • Schedule shipper/packers and are point of contact for any movement of contracted staff


    • Have a high school diploma or GED
    • Have a minimum of one year of general work experience
    • Have effective interpersonal communications with coworkers and staff
    • Have basic keyboard and PC computer skills
    • Must be able to effectively communicate in the English language, both in writing and verbally
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds when required; push or pull up to 150 pounds on a rolling cart or using a pallet jack
    • Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time, stoop, reach upward, bend, lift, and withstand various types of repetitive motion inherent in the various tasks to be performed
    • Must be able to understand the precautions required when handling hazardous materials and hazardous waste
