    Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking a full-time Invasive Cardiologist for IMMEDIATE service in at the W. G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center located at 1601 Brenner Ave, Salisbury, NC 28144. A highly competitive full-time package with signing bonus is available. The Cardiologist will primarily be responsible for outpatient care, inpatient consultations, and on-call services.

    Responsibilities

    The Cardiologist is accountable to the Chief, Cardiology Service assuring quality care standards and the most effective delivery of care. The Cardiologist is expected to provide comprehensive patient care in the form of invasive, non-invasive, consultative, and inpatient/outpatient cardiology care. Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Must be an expert in cardiovascular diseases and have significant experience in all aspects of interventional cardiology and related devices. Provides support to the function of the outpatient Cardiology clinics, the inpatient consultation service, and the on-call requirement.
    • Incumbent will be responsible for the design and achievement of quality of care standards, efficiency, process improvement, and patient satisfaction surrounding Interventional Cardiology.
    • Expected to practice in accordance with professional standards, core values, and with a commitment to service excellence.
    • Expected to provide comprehensive patient care in the form of invasive, non-invasive, consultative, and inpatient/outpatient cardiology care.
    • Central venous line insertion and management.
    • Intra-arterial lines insertion and management.
    • Interpret EKGs.
    • Interpret holter monitors.
    • Cardioversion.
    • Use of thrombolytic agents.
    • Pericardiocentesis.
    • Arterial puncture.
    • Temporary trans venous pacemaker placement.
    • Intra-aortic balloon pump insertion and management.
    • Cardiac catheterization and angiography.
    • Stress test interpretation.
    The position includes clinical, and research duties. The approximate time assigned in each of area as of the date of this statement is listed below. This may change over time depending on the needs of the Service and the Medical Center. The time allotment is consistent with information contained in the physician mapping tool that is used to follow physician duties and productivity. Clinical: 80% Research: 20%.

    Qualifications

    • Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State or Territory
    • Board Certification or Board Eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine
    • Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
    • Moderate Sedation privileges and certification required

    • Fluoroscopy privileges and certification

    • Must be able to pass a Federal background investigation (National Agency Check with Written Inquiries)
